How to Make Food Colour and veg powder at Home with fruits and vegetables

#  Friends.. colourful and presentable dishes always attract us to eat.But we avoid them oftenly due to artificial colour added to them... Because in the market sellers use strong colours to  beautify them.

#  It is certain that colourful dishes are appealing and tempting . Specially kids are attracted to such dishes soon.
If we prepare  our own healthy food colours from orange zest..spinach and beet toot etc..Then there will be no hesitation  in using them.

#  I have seen my mother, preparing yellow colour from marigold (genda ) flower and Sadabahar flower.when my mother cooks rice ,she mixes 8 or 10 flowers in the boiling water of rice.It enhances the taste, colour and flavour of rice.

# In this way,... Summer is the best time to prepare natural colours from natural vegetables and fruits.

# Method of preparing Food colour at Home...

1. How to prepare Orange colour ...
#  First take 4 or 5 oranges.Wash them properly and wipe out with a clean cloth.Then peel it with a knife or peeler.Just separate the outer orange part of the orange discarding the white pith carefully.It can be done very easily.

#  After that just spread out the zest of orange on a clean cotton cloth or in a sieve and get them dry in the Sun light 3 or 4 days.Then grind it in the mixer and use it in making dishes and sweets and icecream.

#  You can also make yellow colour from marigold flower and orange colour from Sadabahar flower as I mentioned it previous.

#  How to make Red colour....

# Take 2 beet roots,wash and peel them.
Then grate the beetroots in a big open plate.Don't squeeze them.Just put the plate in the sun light for 3 or 4 days.
Then being crunchy...Grind it and sieve the powder of beetroot ,then store it in a airtight container.

#  How to make Green colour...

# Take 2 or 3 bunches of spinach ( palak )
Cut the stalks and wash it properly diping in the water and place it in a  sieve for some time so that remaining water could come out.Then spread out on a clean cloth or transfer it in another sieve for getting dry in the Sun.
After drying the leaves of spinach...Just grind or mesh it by hands like mint leaves and sieve it finely for making a smooth powder.

# The spinach powder is also very well used in making snacks like multi grain sticks, cutlets and besan cheela.

#  Note...

1. You can also get dry the peels of orange and lemon in the shadow or at the room temperature.

2. Spinach takes minimum time ..First spread it on the cloth for 2 hours then place it in a sieve.

3. Beetroot is very juicy...so first you have to spread it in the sunlight.. Otherwise it will get smell .

4. These powders are not only used for making colours but also in making shakes and icecream.
