Black Eyed Peas Or Ramas ... Healthy Breakfast Recipe

# Ramas or black eyed peas is a very healthy, scrumptuous, quick and easy breakfast recipe. It is full of high level of dietary fiber. So it is very beneficial for over all health.
# It is a type of bean like rajma. But it does not take much time in boiling and being soft.
# Since the morning time remains busy,
It is a perfect healthy recipe for breakfast.
It is also a great option as side dish in your lunch.
# Prep Time...10 minutes
# Cook time...10 to 15 minutes
# Soak Time....5  hours or over night
# Serving......4
# Ingredientes For Dry Ramas..
# For Pressure Cook
1. 150 gram.....Black eyed peas ( ramas )
2.  1 tea spoon .... salt
3. Water as required
# Other Ingredients For Dry Ramas
1.  2....Chopped tomato
2. 1... Chopped cucumber
3. 4 table spoon ... Pomegranate seeds
4.  1 boiled potato (optional )
5.   1 chopped onion ( optional )
6. 1 tea spoon.....Roasted cumin powder
7.  Salt to taste... Back and white both
8.  1 chopped green chili ( optional )
9. .2 lemon juice
10. some chopped fresh coriander leaves..
# Method  of  Making  Ramas
1. First wash the black eyed peas well,  then soak them in sufficient water for few hours or overnight since it will enlarge in size.
2. Then drain the soaked Ramas water and place them in a pressure cooker with 1 spoon salt and water.
Water ratio  for boiling ramas should be 2 inch above the soaked ramas.
3. Take 1 whistle on the high flame then cook it for 10 minutes on low flame.
4.  Check the peas,  pressing by your finger,  if black eyes peas are not soft then again cook it for 5 minutes more.
Otherwise it does not take much time  for boiling like other whole beans.
5.  In the mean while, prepare all things as tomato, green chili, cucumber, pomegranate etc. by peeling and chopping into small pieces.
6. Once the black eyed peas are soft.
Pour out them in a sieve and let it cool.
7.   Now take a big Bowl and add all the chopped vegetables and some pomegranate seeds in it.
8.  Mix well,  without mashing the ramas.
Better to toss them.
9.  Then add green chili, lemon juice, black and white salt, roasted cumin powder  and some coriander leaves.
10. Now tasty and healthy ramas is ready for breakfast.
Before serving, garnish it with some pomegranate seeds,pinch of black salt and cumin powder, few drops of lemon and some coriander leaves.
# Note...
1. Don't overcook it other wise black eyed peas would be mashy. Just make them well soft.
2.  If there is much time in serving then seed out the tomato and cucumber with a spoon and then cut it.
3. You can also enjoy it without adding anything. Just boil it with salt and sieve it.
4.  While boiling ramas, if you add 2 pinch of baking soda, then it takes only 5 or 7 minutes in boiling.
