Sweet Chutney Recipe Of Street Side Chat

Hello Friends,
Namaskar...
I am sangeeta Agrawal and welcome you at my blog..
# Street chat is always very tempting and delicious to us.  Whenever we go to the market, we enjoy it as gol gappe, samosa, aloo tikki, cheela, chole and many more chaat. It is crispy and spicy.
# Its green chutney is made of dhaniya, palak and Mint. It is made of yellow chilies so it tastes so...Spicy.
And it's sweet chutney is very dark in colour that is made of tamarind .
You can make this tamarind chutney very easily at home. And you know well that home made food is always very healthy and safe.
# Ingredients For Tamarind Chutney..
1. Tamarind...200 gram
2. Sugar.....300 gram
3. Jaggary.....100 gram
4. Salt to taste or...1 tea spoon
5. Black salt....1 tea spoon
6. Red chili powder....1 tea spoon
7. Roasted cumin powder....2 tea spoon
8. Garam masala....1 tea spoon
# Procedure Of Making...
1. First wash the tamarind well. Then soak it in the water for 1 hour.
2. Now place a kadai or pan on the flame.
Add 4 cups of water and tamarind along with its soaked water.
Cook it for 10 or 12 minutes.
3. Let it cool.
4. Then strain and take out the pulp of tamarind with the help of hands.
5. Now add sugar, jaggary and salt into the pulp of tamarind.
6. Cook it well again on medium flame till jaggary and sugar dissolves completely and chutney gets the thick pouring consistency.
7. Lastly add, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder ( jeera ) and garam masala.
Mix well and off the flame.
8. Cool it down completely.
Now sweet and spicy chutney is ready to enjoy.
No chaat recipe can be imagined without saunth or sweet chutney.
You can store it in the refrigerator till 6 months.
Note...
1. While cooking, boil the chutney 5 minutes more...It will increase the self life of chutney if you are going to store it.
2. You can add some kaaju, kishmish, chopped ginger and chuawara in some portion of chutney.
It gives a heavenly taste when you enjoy it with mathari, dry samosa, dahi bhale and dry kachori.
Thanku Friends,
Thanks again.
